Description

Set in the early years of Confederation, and centred around the old monied classes of St.John’s, who are in fear for their old privileges under a barrage of Canadian bagmen and the new order. Scandals and secrets abound in the merchant classes. Suddenly murder is done and the whole shaky edifice starts to wobble.
