Description

Brendan Curry returns home for the funeral of his elder sister in a fishing village on Newfoundland’s souther shore, where his remaining sister, Kate, and her husband, Lar, still reside—as does a recently-arrived materialistic young account from St. John’s named Patsy. When people have lived comfortabley—if not always pleasantly—together for hundreds of years, how well do they adapt to change? How well do they understand its impact?
