Description

In this one-person show created during the COVID-19 pandemic, Kristin Shepherd takes the audience on a journey from icebergs and refugees, to gin and raccoons, to garbage and birth.

The internet defines Solastalgia as “a form of emotional or existential distress caused by environmental change,” but the way it was first described to Kristin was as “a homesickness for something that no longer exists.” This is a play about something that no longer exists. It offers answers to questions contemplated by many artists during this tumultuous time: What’s the point? Why are we doing this? And why now?
