When the infamous Avalon Ballroom is finally forced to close its doors forever, it hardly causes a ripple of interest in St. John’s – except for owner Jerry Strange and his regulars. The Band from Hell are out of a gig and no one else but Jerry would ever hire them. Add Phonse, the Band’s manager, and we have the ingredients for a sadly funny look at the passing of an era, as all hands celebrate the last dance at the Avalon.
